From January 30 to February 7, 2026, the Armwrestling World Cup was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, bringing major success to Kyrgyz athletes.
Athletes from Kyzyl-Suu village, the center of the Jeti-Ögüz district, took part in the competition and performed at a high level on the international stage. Among them, Zalkar Nurlanov achieved outstanding results by winning in two categories.
Following two days of intense matches on both left and right arms:
- Zalkar Nurlanov (up to 80 kg) — 1st place in the senior category
- Zalkar Nurlanov — 1st place in the junior category, winning double gold
Additionally:
- Zhanibek Abdykadyrov — 2nd place (para-armwrestling category)
- Elmirbek Mukanbetov — 2nd place in the junior category (up to 60 kg)
These achievements reflect the athletes’ dedication, discipline, and high level of preparation. The representatives of Kyzyl-Suu достойно represented Kyrgyzstan on the international stage.
